Rahman has won the EMERGING TALENT AWARD FOUNDRY 2009 workshop, in Manali, Hichmal Pradesh, India for his work on the effects of Marijuana trade to the local people.

Rahman finished photographing for ‘Development of Materials for Democracy, Human Rights, and Peace in Asia’ in Malaysia , a project commissioned by UNESCO Korea. The images will be exhibited in a photo exhibition under the theme "Democracy, Human Rights and Peace in Asia" supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Republic of Korea, APCEIU on the May 17 ~ May 31 2009 in Gwang-ju, South Korea.
