Rahman's Kashmir images were selected to be part of a project called
"Kashmir Reflections" , a project began in Fall 2009 as a collaboration project for Ami Vitale, Walyce Almeida, and Nick Maslow — three graduate multimedia students at the University of Miami. The group wanted to create a unique collection of stories through which people could grasp both the beauty of Kashmir and the consequences of the ongoing conflict there.
Within a week of getting the green light on the “Team Kashmir” proposal, photojournalist Vitale had received an overwhelmingly positive response from numerous artists and journalists.
